Bruce was one of 25 Business & Estate Planning Specialists in the country for the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. Bruce left the Northwestern to pursue a passion for helping closely held businesses to grow, thrive and succeed generation to generation. He provides Grenell Consulting Group with a specialty in the Exit Planning/Succession Planning discipline.

Bruce is a graduate of SUNY Oswego. He received his Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. Bruce is a Past President of the Society of Financial Services Professionals – CNY Chapter. In 1998, he was presented with the Distinguished Service Award of the Society of Financial Services Professionals.

Bruce founded and grew Charting Succession, Inc., an Exit Planning firm dedicated solely to helping business owners plan for the inevitable exit from their business on their own terms. He is presently a Director Member of the Business Enterprise Institute in Golden, CO, the premier Exit Planning organization in the country. He is a certified Senior Consultant for the One Page Business Planning Process.

Bruce has a deep commitment to community service and was the cofounder of The Jenna Foundation for Non-Violence and was the recipient of the 2003 Post Standard Community Achievement Award by the Syracuse Newspaper Group; the 1998 Advocate of the Year Award by Governor George Pataki; and the 2003 FBI Citizenship Award by Director Robert Mueller.

Bruce lives outside Syracuse, NY in the community of Elbridge, close by his sailboat on beautiful Cayuga Lake.
